DI-RECT - Clubtour 2026

DI-RECT from The Hague brings its 2026 club tour to the Frannz Club in Berlin on 15 March 2026. Founded in the late 1990s by teenagers, the band began with an energetic blend of pop-punk and post-grunge, laying its foundation with Discover (2001). In the mid-2000s the quartet broadened its scope with All Systems Go! (2005) and This Is Who We Are (2007), moving toward more melodic rock with pop influences and touches of soul. In 2009 Marcel Veenendaal took over vocals from Tim Akkerman — since then more sophisticated arrangements, guitars combined with keys and occasional orchestrations have come to the fore, while the rock foundation remains.

DI-RECT is a regular fixture on stages across the Netherlands, and live recordings and acoustic reworks have appeared alongside studio releases. Later albums such as Rolling with the Punches (2017) and Wild Hearts (2020) sum up their current core: indie rock, pop and soul intertwine, with distinctive hooks, driving grooves and multi-part vocals. At the Frannz Club this sound unfolds in an intimate, immediate way — a club night that condenses the band’s development into an audible experience.
