Marillion

Marillion will be at Le Bikini, in Ramonville-Saint-Agne, on 25 November 2026. Formed in the late 1970s, the band reinvigorated British progressive rock by combining a seventies heritage with more direct songwriting. The early years with Fish set the scene with Script for a Jester’s Tear, Fugazi and Misplaced Childhood, and a taste for long, melodic, narrative pieces.

From the late 1980s, the arrival of Steve Hogarth on vocals opened a more introspective phase that became established on Seasons End and then Brave, balancing rock tension, atmospheric pop and contemporary textures. Around the core of Steve Rothery, Mark Kelly, Pete Trewavas, Ian Mosley and Hogarth, Marillion has retained a cohesion that is palpable on stage: lyrical guitars, expansive keyboards, strong group dynamics and a voice that carries long-form narratives.

In concert, the band favors progressive build-ups, contrasts and extended formats, drawing as much from the classics as from more recent albums such as Marbles, F E A R or An Hour Before It’s Dark. It’s a way of moving through several decades of compositions without heavy nostalgia, emphasizing immersion, thematic cycles and a close connection with a devoted audience.
