On July 1, 2026, at the Rocher de Palmer in Cenon (Bordeaux), Anthrax brings New York thrash back to the forefront. Formed in 1981 around Scott Ian and counted among the Big Four alongside Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth, the band blends speed, precise riffs and a hardcore legacy. From Among the Living to For All Kings, Anthrax unfurls four decades of chant-along anthems, punchy choruses and razor-sharp solos, with Joey Belladonna’s voice as a constant touchstone and a relentlessly tight rhythm section. The set is conceived to go straight to the essentials, mixing unmissable classics with more recent material.
Mastodon is the special guest. Born in Atlanta, the quartet crosses sludge, hardcore and progressive constructions, alternating heaviness and melodies delivered in turn by Troy Sanders, Brent Hinds and Brann Dailor. From Leviathan to Crack the Skye and on through Hushed and Grim, their tracks establish dense atmospheres, layered guitars and meticulously precise tempo shifts—providing a massive counterpoint to Anthrax’s thrash energy.
