Marion Raw

Info

Born in Mexico City and raised between Mexico, the United States and the United Kingdom, Marion Raw turns her life into musical territory. She will perform on May 27, 2026 at Théâtre l’Archipel in Paris. Between alternative folk and an underground indie aesthetic, she shapes what she calls “Boléro Garage”: a fusion of slightly spectral country blues, Spanish-language folk ballads and an irreverence inherited from punk. Written close to the intimate, her songs move between English and Spanish, with an economy of means that places voice and words at the center.

On stage, Marion Raw goes straight to feeling, without artifice: stripped-back guitars, lo-fi textures, and a voice that scratches like rockabilly, embraces the drama of the bolero and retains the candor of folk. Her tracks sound like exhumed relics—raw and cinematic—where themes of displacement, family and exile rise to the surface. A poetic defiance runs through her writing and links these pieces into a whole that is at once nostalgic and hypnotic. A performance that favors intimacy, the tension of silences and melodies that linger.
