Alberta-raised songwriter Corb Lund brings his blend of traditional country, alt-country and prairie folk to Edmonton with a set built around two cornerstone records. On May 29, 2026, he plays The Starlite Room, 10030 102 Street Northwest, Edmonton, performing Five Dollar Bill and Hair in My Eyes Like a Highland Steer, the albums that defined his songwriting amid ranch tales, endless roads and dry humor. A former bassist for the rock band The Smalls, Lund shifted toward country with The Hurtin’ Albertans, refining a spare sound where twangy guitars, campfire waltzes and vignettes of farm life intertwine.

His songs cover horses, branding, gambling, local history and families of the Canadian Old West, with a keen eye for detail that hooks without trying. On stage, the energy remains restrained and precise, in service of the lyrics and the rootsy pulse that have accompanied him since his beginnings.
