David Castello-Lopes

Journalist and columnist David Castello-Lopes has a taste for explanations that make you smile. He returns with "Délicieux", a show designed for the whole family: he had thought of calling it "Le plaisir" before remembering that the word carries connotations that exclude those under 18. The title changed, not the subject: what in us triggers pleasure.

For an hour and a quarter, he unravels this mechanism with his precision as an observer: a glass of chasselas by a lake, the small, unspoken satisfaction when someone we didn’t like disappears, the joy of a promotion, the taste of Gruyère eaten in Gruyères, or the very French thrill of correcting those who pronounce the "z" in Étivaz. Between anecdotes and mini-investigations, he stages these incongruities that run through us and seeks to provoke, live, that same pleasure, like a mise en abyme.
