On June 7, 2026, La Laiterie in Strasbourg will host Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats. Born in Cambridge around singer‑guitarist Kevin Starrs, the band has been shaping a heavy rock infused with doom, psychedelia and late‑sixties garage tones since the late 2000s. Slow, overdriven riffs, finely honed vocal harmonies, atmospheres drawn from horror cinema and B‑movies: the signature is unmistakable, and the revolving lineup centers on Starrs’ songwriting.
After a rare, self‑produced debut, Vol. 1 (2010), Blood Lust (2011) established them on the doom/stoner scene. They followed with Mind Control (2013), more psychedelic and conceptual, The Night Creeper (2015), informed by crime fiction and giallo films, and Wasteland (2018), with its post‑apocalyptic tint. With Nell' Ora Blu (2024), Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats further push the cinematic dimension of their heavy, retro rock. At La Laiterie, they will be carried by those weighty riffs and dark melodies, at the intersection of ’70s hard rock and pulp thrills.
