Les Bodin’s hit the road again with Grandeur Nature. On May 2, 2027, the duo will take the stage at the Zénith de Rouen, 44 Avenue des Canadiens in Le Grand-Quevilly. Vincent Dubois and Jean-Christian Fraiscinet will perform their popular brand of theatre: Maria Bodin, a blunt-speaking peasant, and her son Christian, an adult who has stayed on the farm, draw the audience into rural daily life, its eccentricities and family tensions. Created as an open-air production in Touraine before moving into theatres, Grandeur Nature unfolds a full-scale farm set, situations rooted in reality, rapid-fire dialogue, an accent that tells the story of a region, and a precise view of today’s countryside. After the 30th-anniversary tour, the story continues in 2027 with a rallying cry: Vote Les Bodin’s Grandeur Nature. It’s an occasion to rediscover onstage the characters who shape the duo’s universe and their way of eliciting laughter by observing the world from ground level.
