From Des Petites Annonces to the stage, he has created figures that have become familiar—Mercedes, Jeannine, Mikeline—and developed a tempo that plays with language as much as with physical gesture. In “Cactus” he combines sketches, portraits and asides to address the times and everyday life, with the precision of an actor and the energy of stand-up.
