Scala & Kolacny Brothers celebrate thirty years of pop and rock covers arranged for choir. Founded in 1996 in Aarschot by brothers Stijn (conductor) and Steven (piano and arrangements), the Belgian women’s choir has crafted a distinctive sound: tight harmonies, measured tempo, spare piano accompaniment, and a repertoire ranging from Radiohead and Nirvana to Depeche Mode and U2, occasionally including songs in French or German. Their version of Creep reached an international audience via the trailer for The Social Network in 2010, and their performances have appeared in films and series such as Sex Education and Sons of Anarchy.

The anniversary tour stops in Ghent on 24 January 2027 at Capitole Ghent, Graaf van Vlaanderenplein 5, 9000 Gent. On stage, Scala revisits pop, rock and indie classics for an ensemble of female voices and piano, prioritizing listening and nuance. Between understated rearrangements and melancholic harmonies, the choir offers a journey through its repertoire—which has toured from Europe to North America—presenting familiar songs in a new light.
