Sudan Archives brings THE BPM North America Tour 2026 to Montréal on February 1, 2026 at Le Studio TD, 305 Rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest. Violinist, singer and producer Brittney Parks builds a practice where experimental R&B meets electronics, soul and violin patterns drawn from East and North African traditions. Largely self-taught on the instrument, she layers voice, strings and rhythm, moving between song forms and beat-driven sketches.

Launched with two EPs in 2017 and 2018, her approach mixed looping violins, minimal bass lines and melodies that swing from spoken word to gospel touches and alternative pop. Athena (2019) widened the scope with stacked vocals and longer structures, while Natural Brown Prom Queen (2022) pushed the hybrid further, from club momentum to R&B ballads and near-folk fragments. On stage, Sudan Archives navigates solo tension and ensemble interplay, keeping the exchange between electronics, Afro-diasporic references and intimate writing at the center.
