Michel Fugain, French singer-songwriter with more than five decades of songs, plays Théâtre Manuvie in Brossard on April 15, 2026. After leaving medical school in the 60s, he wrote, composed and then launched Big Bazar in 1972, a vocal and musical collective that put Fais comme l’oiseau, Une belle histoire and La fête on many lips. Since then, he has carried on solo with projects that favor choral arrangements, group energy and lyrics anchored in a humanist spirit. On stage, he revisits chapters of his catalogue, from the Big Bazar years to later creations like Pluribus, linking stories, melodies and harmonies with the ease of someone who values transmission. The set brings back the pulse of those songs while leaving room for the present, with musicians focused on interplay rather than effects. An evening centered on a living repertoire of francophone chanson.
