Charlie Major

Charlie Major brings his plainspoken country storytelling to Winnipeg on March 7, 2026, at Club Regent Event Centre, 1425 Regent Avenue West. Born in Aylmer, Québec, he honed his craft between Canada and Nashville, first writing for others in the 1980s before stepping forward with his own material. His debut, The Other Side (1993), set the path for a steady run of records including Lucky Man (1995), Everything’s Alright (1997), Inside Out (2004) and On the Evening Side (2011).

Major’s songs draw from everyday Canadian life—work, family, open roads and small-town corners—carried by a warm voice and arrangements that shift from acoustic ballads to country rock. The narratives stay close to the ground, direct and unadorned, with folk and rock shades woven into a classic country frame.
