On March 18, 2026 at Thunder Bay Community Auditorium, Alan Doyle takes the stage with songs that trace a line from Newfoundland’s harbours to contemporary folk rock. First known as the singer, guitarist and principal songwriter of Great Big Sea, he played at the crossroads of Atlantic Canadian tradition, Celtic roots and pop-rock drive. Since 2012, his solo path has widened the frame: Boy on Bridge, So Let’s Go and A Week at the Warehouse, followed by the EPs Rough Side Out and Back to the Harbour, balance acoustic ballads, call-and-response numbers and more electric tracks. The coastal stories and rhythms of Eastern Canada run through his writing, and occasional collaborations and screen work feed the storytelling he brings to the stage.
Special guest The East Pointers join the bill, setting the tone for a night built around strong songs and live energy in Thunder Bay.
