Gabi Hartmann brings her border-crossing songwriting to The Great Hall in Toronto, ON on Sunday, March 15, 2026. A Paris-based singer and guitarist, she moves between jazz, French chanson and Brazilian rhythms, shaping songs with a discreet, cinematic feel. Her repertoire flows in French, English and Portuguese, with occasional forays into Arabic, and keeps her voice at the center of stripped-back, acoustic arrangements.
After studies and a long stretch between Rio de Janeiro and London, Hartmann refined an intimate approach nourished by bossa nova, folk and popular traditions. A close collaboration with New York songwriter and producer Jesse Harris helped frame her early recordings and her self-titled 2023 album, where clarity of melody and subtle grooves guide the writing. On stage, she favors nylon-string textures, conversational phrasing and stories told at human scale. She appears with special guests for this Toronto date.
