Thaïs « Fille de joie »

Info

On March 6, 2026 at the Théâtre du Gymnase – Marie Bell in Paris, Thaïs presents Fille de joie, a solo show in which she turns family meals into stand-up material. At 33, single, childless and a freelance performer, she paints a portrait of herself by playing with her small anxieties and big questions, from the therapist’s office to family gatherings. You’ll encounter a vegan cousin, a father in the midst of a revelation, a very open mother and an uncle who knows how to kill the mood, while secrets spill out with the frankness of conversations held too late.

Between impulse-related phobias, respiratory, food and—above all—social allergies, Thaïs unfolds a nervous autofiction where the body, embarrassment and self-mockery take a seat at the table. She moves on to family inheritances, red lines and the codes we pretend to respect, pulling on a thread that is intensely personal and yet familiar. Written with Stéphane Casez and Paul Brinio and directed by Stéphane Casez, Fille de joie condenses a family evening into a concentrated mix of confidences, characters and sharp, well‑placed lines.
