Lusaint comes from Manchester and shapes a soul sound with jazz inflections, driven by direct songwriting and a distinctive vocal timbre that evokes the Sixties without being confined to them. First revealed with her debut EP Self Sabotage, she followed up with The Apothecary (Pt. 1), a more intimate chapter about love unraveling, the vulnerabilities one learns to tame, and a renewal beginning to take shape. Sparse melodies, guitars in chiaroscuro, velvety bass lines: her songs move at a measured pace, with a keen attention to detail.
She will be at 6MIC in Aix-en-Provence on April 2, 2026, to present these new songs alongside those that made her known. On stage, Lusaint favors pared-down arrangements, the dynamics of silence, and a discreet groove that lets the voice breathe, ranging from ballads to more urgent pulses.
