Cœur de Pirate

For more than fifteen years, Béatrice Martin has been exploring Francophone pop under the name Cœur de Pirate, ranging from intimate piano confidences to more danceable rhythms. Her clear, incisive voice carries direct, often intimate lyrics that shift from a hushed melody to a brighter energy without losing their thread. Over the course of half a dozen albums, she has shaped a repertoire in which songwriting takes center stage, with arrangements that give as much room to the words as to the melodies. This trajectory has taken her from Quebec stages to venues in France and the United States, while, since 2021, she has also served as an artistic director at the Bravo Musique label.

On 25 November 2026 at Republic Corner Poitiers, Cœur de Pirate will revisit her various periods, from the early songs that revealed her to the more recent tracks. The programme presents that blend of simple elegance and melodic efficiency that is the hallmark of her concerts, marked by an attention to detail and an unvarnished presence. It is an opportunity to gauge the solidity of a songbook that keeps refining and reinventing itself over the years.
