Jeremy Hababou

On November 7, 2026, at La Commanderie Dole, Jeremy Hababou brings his piano and his singular universe that lies between jazz, classical music and reminiscences of the Orient. A pianist and composer whose career has been shaped by travel, he constructs his pieces like narratives, each theme seeming to open a new path. In his playing one hears as much the influence of standards as that of great pages from the classical repertoire, with harmonic colors that recall Mediterranean and Middle Eastern music. On stage, Jeremy Hababou takes the time to establish a mood, to let motifs rise, to unsettle them and then soothe them, in direct dialogue with the audience. His music moves by subtle gradations, between introspective passages and freer flights, leaving room for silence as much as for the bright bursts of the keyboard. Nicolas Nebot’s staging accompanies the concert by providing a simple, precise framework for this constant back-and-forth between intimacy and sharing.
