Sniper

Sniper, one of the founding groups of French rap, formed in 1997 in the Val-d’Oise around Aketo, Tunisiano, Blacko and DJ Boudj. Very quickly the group developed a writing style that blends life in the housing estates, social observation and sharp lyricism, with albums that became reference points for many, such as Du rire aux larmes (2001), Gravé dans la roche (2003) and Trait pour trait (2006). Their trajectory is one where commitment is grounded in concrete narratives, without unnecessary flourishes.

On 12 and 13 December 2026 at the Élysée Montmartre in Paris, Aketo and Tunisiano are reviving Sniper in a duo format. It is a conscious return to their roots: to rekindle the classics, present new tracks and reaffirm a voice in a rap scene that has never stopped interrogating its time. This stripped-down lineup emphasizes authenticity, energy and respect, far from the tensions of the past, for a direct dialogue with the audience. Iconic tracks sit alongside previously unheard pieces, a natural updating of a repertoire that continues to be written on stage.
