Lofofora imposed their blend of metal, punk and touches of hip‑hop at a time when scenes remained compartmentalized. American references are front and center, from Fugazi to Grandmaster Flash, yet the band is firmly rooted in France and unflinching at the mic. They played in squats and neighborhood halls before appearing on all sorts of stages in France and beyond, outside the mainstream circuits. Thirty‑five years on the clock, eleven studio albums, an estimated 2,500 to 3,000 concerts, and direct lyrics that called out sexism and violence long before the #MeToo era. A history marked by collective energy, long-running tours and a sound that links tension, groove and urgency.
Lofofora will be at Les Cuizines in Chelles on April 3, 2026, for a show that brings their repertoire back into the spotlight, mixing recent songs with key tracks.
