Originally from Yorkshire and now based in south London, DEADLETTER plays taut, danceable post-punk that stares darkness straight in the eye without losing its sense of narrative. Somewhere between the causticity of The Fall and the percussive drive of LCD Soundsystem, the band crafts songs with a clipped, propulsive step, driven by rhythms that invite movement and by nervy guitars. Longtime friends, the members play with a rapport audible in the sharp breaks, builds and controlled skids, where every angle has its place. DEADLETTER will be in Paris on 8 April 2026 at the Trabendo — a chance to catch lyrics that wryly mock everyday life, a vocal that bites and basslines that push toward the dancefloor without smoothing out the tension. No showboating, just tracks that move, short breaths and an attention to detail that keeps the pressure on, where dance and sarcasm advance side by side.
