Jeff Panacloc returns with The Jeff Panacloc Company, a show conceived as a multi-voiced stage where his art of ventriloquism meets a troupe of strongly drawn characters. Jean-Marc, his long-time sidekick with a sharp wit, is joined by new figures who shake up the conversation, interrupt one another, bicker and rein in the master of ceremonies with a well-placed quip. Panacloc plays with silences, breaks and tempo changes, alternating between scripted sketches, asides and small improvisations, and teases the foibles of the age without losing the thread. The mechanics are precise and transitions seamless; each character takes their place and together they form an ensemble comedy where the absurd intersects everyday life. You’ll hear barbs, confidences and a few controlled slip-ups, always driven by the ventriloquist’s technical mastery and his taste for interaction.
