Julien Santini

Julien Santini, a comedian from Lyon who trained in theatre before taking a detour into the civil service, has always kept the stage in his sights. At his wife’s suggestion he tried his luck, won the Jeune Talent competition in Saint-Étienne, and two years later took to the Montreux stage. Since then he has been refining a stand-up that draws as much from boulevard theatre as from a distinctly French brand of comedy, blending characters, abrupt shifts and intimate asides.

On stage he plays with contrasts, moving from the tender to the confrontational, from the precise to the overflowing, and allows the digressions that ignite a room. His material is live: a dynamic rhythm, silences that matter, and a way of creating an easy intimacy with the audience. His hybrid sketches toy with stand-up conventions while retaining the energy of theatrical performance, with a taste for excess that he always softens with gentleness.

Julien Santini will be at the Caen Conference Centre on April 3, 2026, for an evening in which he brings together his obsessions as an actor and the immediacy of stand-up, with one idea in mind: to share a moment as close as possible to the spectators.
