Wishbone Ash

Wishbone Ash returns to the stage at the Splendid in Lille on April 30, 2026. For more than five decades, the British quartet has consistently done what it does best: play its music, marked by a signature forged in the late 1960s — twin guitars. At a time when most bands highlighted a single guitarist, they chose to harmonize two lead players, an approach that would go on to influence Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. Led by Andy Powell and his Flying V, the band has kept to its course, favoring a distinctive sound and songwriting that have endured across the years.

Classics and new material intersect in a wide-ranging repertoire, from the album Argus to Coat Of Arms, released in 2020, and Live Dates Live in 2023. In 2024, a fan poll shaped the setlist for the Wishlist Tour 2024/2025, conceived for the stage and drawn from the band’s history. Between harmonized riffs, interwoven choruses and a precise rhythm section, the concert offers a panorama true to their identity, both for the curious and for long-time fans.
