Jimmy Sax

On March 5, 2026, Jimmy Sax takes over the Casino Barrière Toulouse, in Toulouse, with Toi & Moi, a format designed for intimacy. A saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist, Jim Rolland is his real name; he performs solo, surrounded by his turntables and his looper. On stage he records live and stacks sonic layers: saxophone, piano, guitar, drums and vocals mingle to revisit his repertoire, between electronic pulses and instantly engaging melodies. After his tour with the Symphonic Dance Orchestra, he returns to the essentials, in a setup that allows more room for improvisation, for breaks and for shifts of mood. The idea is simple: compose the piece as it is being played, capture the room’s energy and let each track evolve through the loops and live interventions. Toi & Moi is a musical tête-à-tête in which the construction of the sound is followed up close, from the first motif to the final chorus, carried by a saxophone that navigates between lyricism and groove without losing the club’s drive.
