Ousanousava

On 12 May 2026, Ousanousava takes over La Barakason in Rezé to put the musicality of Réunion back at the center. Born in the early 1980s, the group has from the start developed a songwriting rooted in maloya and séga, balancing popular heritage and contemporary openness. From the first songs composed around 1982 to the self-titled album Ousanousava in 1989, the collective has made its mark on stage both on the island and in mainland France as well as across the Indian Ocean region.

With fifteen albums to their name, including Ça mon pays in 2021, Ousanousava unfolds a musical story woven from Creole, poetry and consciously embraced blends. This date is part of the 2026 tour, conceived as a journey through the different chapters of their repertoire, giving space to the tracks that have defined the group's adventure.

Eight musicians will be on stage to circulate the rhythms and colours of the Ousanousava sound. Bernard Joron (guitar, trumpet, vocals), François Joron (caïambre, vocals), Patrick Atide (guitar), Laurent Serveaux (drums), Frédéric Tossem (bass, backing vocals), Guillaume Dejean (violin, trumpet), Alain Chan Yu Hon (saxophones) and Teddy Doris (trombone) shape a concert in which maloya, séga and other influences naturally answer one another.
