Info
Do you think you know dogs and cats? You may not, and you’ll discover it while enjoying the visit to the exhibition. Dog or bichon, pooch or kitty, felines and canines have been humankind’s companions for millennia. Today in France, there are nearly 23 million of them in households. But how did they become different from wild animals? How do they perceive the world? What are their emotions? Do they communicate? Do they understand us? An exhibition that has bite (and a purr)!
The Dogs and Cats special exhibition—first shown at the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie in 2015—returns to Paris in a new version, after drawing more than 3 million visitors in six countries (France, the United States, Canada, Portugal, Austria, and the United Kingdom)!
Three themes: Biology, History, and human–animal relationships; then from the perspective of cats and dogs, ethology and behavior; and finally in our societies with a focus on animal welfare.
